Re: PA1s in freight service

Speaking of FAs I remember seeing some photos of single FAs in local freight service. One photo was if I remember correctly a Phil Hasting shot at South Worcester of the local leaving for Webster and Southbridge. Another shot  I have seen is the local in Webster with an FA. Both of these were had th...

PA1s in freight service

I just bought  a small package of train orders through Ebay .  There 10 orders issued at Framingham to points such as Lowell, Fitchburg, Readville and Mansfield, all issued in 1960.  The engines involved are mostly RS2s and RS3s. Also engine 592 which was a Loewey style FM unit. The real surprise is...

Tons of interesting footage from ...

Re: Reunion-Train show

As I sit at the shelter waiting for Irma to show up, I wonder how the reunion went? Bill I think yesterdays  Reunion and Train Show was an outstanding success. Every bit as great as last years. This year we also had a nice crystal clear New England fall day. Rick Abramson and crew outperformed them...

Re: The Rebuilt by Alco FAs FBs and the correct color of the red orange

Thank you Richard, I do have the NH Color Guide as well as all the Shoreliners including the Ken Patton 2 part article. I guess my biggest question is if anyone has thoughts on which available paint works best to represent this color. If I have to I will try  some of each of the manufacturers paint....
