General American G85 Flatcar in HO Scale

Walthers has just announced these cars, due out in about 1 year.  No NH cars listed, but maybe NHRHTA can convince them to do some NH cars.

Unknown Building in Putnam

I have a question about a structure in the yard in Putnam Ct.  There was a structure on the west side of the yard towards the north end.  It looks like it could be up to 200 feet long by maybe 30 feet wide.  (No it is not the freight house.)  It appears to have a siding running along the side of it....

Re: 2017 Reunion and Train Show

I agree, it was a great day.  I like having it earlier in the year like this as it gives more day light for the event and travel.  I look forward to next year.

Re: New Haven parlor car service

There's also a very good photo on p. 28 of Trackside New Haven with Thomas J  McNamara at Stratford, dated 1958.  I am inclined to believe the train is #175, The Colonial .  The HW parlor is still fully in Pullman Green. The print is too small to read the car name on the HW parlor, but it's two wor...

Re: JAZZ AND THE NEW HAVEN

You can hear a cut from the album on YouTube, it is very interesting, it has a sound reminiscent of riding on a train.

Re: THE FUTURE OF THE STAINLESS CAR PROJECT

Hi Tom, I find it far from an innocuous dicscussion when the president of the association starts a therad off saying that the response is poor and the association has spent $70,000 on the project. Is that before or after the sale of the coaches, does it include the money needed for the parlors? Did ...

<t>I find it interesting that the members are getting brow beaten and called names if they did not buy cars from NHTRHA and that if the finances do not work out it is their fault the project will fail. The BOD made the decision to pursue the project with Rapidio. From the original announcement at th...

Commercial Model

<t>One thing that would possible make the Roger Williams as a plastic model is you only need two bodies. both ends and all the intermediate are the same.  It also had as far as I know, 1 NH paint scheme, I PC and two Amtrak paint schemes.  I would think it would sell as well as Rapido's turbo train....
