Re: just gonna leave this here

Mr. NewHavenGeek. I would say that the piggyback flats on the cover of vol. 24, no. 3. shown above appear to be exact copies of the New Haven piggyback flatcars in the 17500 - 17799 series. They have the same large drop plate on one end only, supported by the huge springs. The welded frame on th...

Re: The un-wanted email notifications again

I just received an email from Mr. Ying Yin at Tapatalk, and here is what it says; "Hi, Thank you for contacting Tapatalk! You have been unsubscribed from all Tapatalk eMails. --  Regards, Ying Yin"      So, I believe my problem has been fixed individually by Mr. Yin. We may have to do that on a...

Re: The un-wanted email notifications again

Mr. DBrion. Here is Mr. Ying Yin's email address: ying@tapatalk.com. He was very polite in his emails with me. I figure it will take some time to identify the "bugs" in their programs, then rewrite the programs' fixs, and install them into their operating systems. So, patience is in order I believe....

Re: The un-wanted email notifications again

Just for information on what Tapatalk is doing about it. I received an email from Mr. Ying Yin at Tapatalk. He asked if I had clicked on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the notification email and selected no more emails, and if I had and still received one to forward the email notification to ...

Re: EF-4s

Mr. Statkowski. Thanks to the link to the Fallen Flags website, you can definately add NH 310 to the list of EF-4's with brackets on the short hood end. See the pictures of NH 310 at http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/nh/nh-e310gga.jpg, at http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/nh/nh310cca.jpg, and at http://www....

Re: EF-4s

http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/nh/nh309dsa.jpg It's the bracket just above the headlight.  Used to have an insulator mounted on top. Mr. Statkowski. This picture looks like it was taken at the locomotive facility at Oak Point Yard. Did you take it while working at either S.S. 3 or S.S. 4? Richard H....

Re: EF-4s

Mr. Run 8. A good view of the bracket with an insulator in place can be seen on an unnumbered Virginian at the Lambert Street Shops in the picture on the bottom of page 31 in Shoreliner , vol. 39, iss. 4 (the most recent issue). Another view is in the picture in the upper left corner of page 35...

Re: The un-wanted email notifications again

I am sorry to say that I just received an email notification at 5:35 AM (CDT) titled "Top Discussions from Your Feed." I'm going to email the address at the bottom of the message (privacy@tapatalk.com.) and complain that their operating system is ignoring not only my settings, but that of several ot...

Re: EF-4s

Mr. Statkowski. Sorry for the initial part of my answer jumping in its presentation as I was presenting them by page number sequence as the appeared in either New Haven Power ( NHP ) or Shoreliner ( S ). So, here is the list by unit NH number with the pages the pictures are found. NH 300 in S on pag...

Re: EF-4s

Mr. Statkowski. I couldn't find a list of locomotives as Virginian (VGN) EL-C with brackets and insulators. So, I checked pictures in Mr. J.W. Swanberg's New Haven Power 1938-1968 (1988). Pictures show VGN 131 with bracket and insulator on long hood connected to an insulator equipped long hood of VG...
