The locomotives, Caboose (Which is NH C-691 BTW), and the rail line is not by any means abandoned. However all three units are in storage and need some TLC. I have operated the 50 in 2017 just testing it, however 0670 hasn't ran in atleast 8 years and the 30 i don't think has ran since AJB acquired it back in the 80s. As for contacting them, I wouldn't. The office doesn't have time to deal with rail fan questions. However, if you happen to see AJB himself out and about, he is a great guy to talk to!! I just left CNZR as an engineer a few weeks ago to another railroad, but it is a nice little company!

I took a number of photos there for a modelling project.  The other RS1 may be ex-WUPT, B&M never owned RS1s.  I'll see if I can find the picts and get to the bottom of this.

There were three Alco RS1 stored at Scantic, CT that I took photos of them back in 2015.  As stated above CNZR 0670 was NH 0670 > G&W 42 > CCR 0670 > CNZR 0670.   CNZR 30 was originally G&W 30 > G&W 1976 (Bicentennial unit) > CCR 30 >CNZR 30.   CNZR 50 was Washington Union Terminal 50 > Solite, Inc. 50 > Potomac Valley Brick & Supply (?) > CNZR 50

I also saw this little gem....  so it appears PP716 wasn't the only pink unit on the New Haven ;-)

That's pretty intresting that a railroad saved a New Haven RS-1. There's only like 3 NH RS-1 and RS-3 still around?

I heard from one worker back in 2017 who works there said that the Cape Cod RS-1 was not being used for 17 years. I didn't get information on the blue RS-1. Also rfranzosa, did you get authorization to enter that property? I got authorization getting into the property and took a ton of photos of the RS-1 but sadly they were deleted because my phone never backed up after I took these photos so I will have to go there again and take pictures again.

I don’t know the gentleman, but if that’s the case, both are in good hands then.

I just can’t believe that’s ~ 55- 60 year old paint (or older) and they still look pretty good.

neither are original paint at all. The caboose has PC green under the NH paint and as previously said the RS-1 was repainted in the 80s.

There's either an RS-1 or RS-3 in Danbury Rail Museum
