We need some help in setting up the vendor's tables on Friday afternoon Sept. 8. If you can help with this, please contact me at nhrr379@att.net.

The Valley is now taking reservations for the dinner train, aka our ROLLING BANQUET.  To make reservations contact the Valley RR at 860-767-0103 and ask for the ticket office.
Be sure to inform them you are a NHRHTA member attending the train show to get the special rate of $75.00 per person. You can also check on the menu at the same time.

Rick I know how you feel. Back in the late 70s early 80s, I ran a train show we put out a request for help setting up tables in our News Letter. At the time that I was running the show there were about maybe a dozen or so members in the area. Not one person came forward, yet they did come to the show.
And as a side note there were 3 of us to set up at first then it went to 2 then just me. One moved away the other lost interest.

I will tell you that if I was still living in the New England area I would be there to help, but South West Florida is just a little too far. And now this post has about 200 plus views.

And "IF" there is a show for next year I hope that a date can be set soon, so I can make plans to attend.

I hope this show goes well "GOOD LUCK"

Bill:

Thank you!! Appreciate your understanding. Isn't it amazing, 200 + views and one positive response from John Kasey. I can certainly understand you not being able to help and understanding the situation I'm in. . .FL is a bit far. We have so far just the 2 of us; John and me to set up 59 tables + folding chairs.

I'm sure there are more folks other than Rick, John, and Bob that will be there to help out. AAMOF, I'm certain of it - I know I'll be there and, if past Reunions are any indication, a bunch of the volunteer crew will be there as well.

That said, many hands do make light work - so I hope folks don't infer from what I said above that they can just let others pitch in while they wait on the sidelines >:^)  If you can come help, please do so and be part of making this another successful Reunion!
