As this is my first time, I'm looking forward to it and hoping to meet everyone. Plus, I'm going all out. Have my reservations for the train & boat ride and rushing over for the dinner train.

As I sit at the shelter waiting for Irma to show up, I wonder how the reunion went?

Bill:
First and foremost, hope you weather (no pun intended) the storm well. Our best wishes are with you. With all you have to deal with in FL I appreciate your concern regarding the reunion. It went fabulous! Perfect temperatures, crystal clear blue skies and a great attendance. The sounds of a steam engine and its melodious whistle in the background was wonderful!
Please keep us posted on how things go with you.

I think yesterdays  Reunion and Train Show was an outstanding success. Every bit as great as last years. This year we also had a nice crystal clear New England fall day. Rick Abramson and crew outperformed themselves over last year. The train show  was a good place to start along with movies clinic presentations and a business meeting.
I took the time to do an afternoon train ride with friends, always a delight with steam power. We also did the Dinner Train ,a very enjoyable time. The Valley Railroad staff was very welcoming again. I do hope we can return next year.
Bill Dulmaine announced that in about a year that he and wife Cosette plan to retire from Shoreliner production .They been working long and hard on the Shoreline for a number of years and it is time to pass this responsaibiliy  to someone younger. It is his intention to produce the remaining 2 issues of this years volume and next years 4 issues. He did say that due to some medical issues that there could be a slight delay in the last 2 issues this year.
Rapido Train's Bill Schneider gave us some updates on coming items .The Parlor Cars look like a November arrival at this time ,there were sample on display and they look great. An interesting side note was that the as delivered parlor car seats were blue except for a section of seats that were gray in the mid part of the car, this color will be in the model cars .
If I recall correctly the N scale 8600s are now  in production.
Bill had slides of   a 3D body unpainted HO EP-5. He told us that they had a painted EP-5 body that was sent by FEDEX to him for the show.  FEDEX lost it around their Memphis center so it never got here.
They are at least thinking about HO diners at this point but it sounds like it not a commitment at this point.

I had a great time saw some old friends an familiar faces. I really enjoyed the whole day. I hope we can return next year.
I thank Rick Abramson and staff for a job well done!!!!!!
