I need some help here please. I'm modeling the P/S Lightweight Grill cars that the NH operated.  I'm trying to find pictures and diagrams that show the interior arrangement for these cars. I have plenty of exterior information, but nothing about the interior. If anyone has any information, diagrams, pictures, or can tell me where to look, I would appreciate your help.  Thank you.    Jim.

Mr. Jim. The best diagram would be the official NH diagram #25421 titled "Diagram Stainless Steel Sheathed Streamlined Grill Cars 950-964" in NHRTIA's Passenger Car Diagram Book, Revised Edition (1975). Mr. Geoffrey H. Doughty has a diagram on page 64 of The New Haven Railraod in the Streamline Era (1998), and a diagram and two interior pictures showing the eating area from both the vestibule end and the glass partition that separates the kitchen area on page 86 of The New Haven Railroad's Streamline Passenger Fleet (2000). The kitchen area is visible through the partition in one picture though. Hope this helps.

Richard. Thanks. I have that one which shows the stainless steel grill cars. What I'm looking for are the layouts/diagrams/pictures for the 1930's lightweight grill cars. These would be the cars numbered 5200-5204.  These were rebuilt in 149/1950 into coaches 8370-8374.

Mr. Jim. Go to the thread "CAR 1000" to post#17 posted on 14 April 2017 by Mr. Ed(nhhe52). It has pictures of the interior to include the glass design that was under the bar. Mr. Ed(nhhe52) provided me with the following two pictures to help me with my models.

You will also find both information and pictures on the interiors in Shoreliner, vol. 32, iss. 3, pages 18, 19, and 22, and The Keystone, vol. 38, iss. 4, page 47. I hope Mr. Ed(nhhe52) doesn't object to me sharing these two pictures of the interior with you, as he didn't say to keep it solely to myself. Hope these help.
