Is it just me our does anyone else experience that when accessed from a mobile device such as an iPad this discussion board website is pirated by pop-up ad software windows that when closed don't allow you to return to he discussion board?

Is there a fix for this?

Happens to me *all* *the* *time* using Chrome on Android. Tapatalk evidently gets their ads served by a low-quality, 3rd-party ad provider that accepts these scams and frauds.

Sadly, this maladvertising is just one of many things I dislike about Tapatalk; things that revolve around trying to monetize an otherwise "free" product.

Help is on the way for Chrome on Android: a new version was set to be released on Jan. 26 that I understand is supposed to be able to block these things. Don't know about availability on other platforms.

For now, I just close the browser tab and start over.

Best of luck to you,
Tom

Mr. Ed(nhhe52). I'm using a tablet while visiting my son's family down in Dacula, and I am getting the ads also. I don't have an ad blocker on my tablet like I do on my computer. I think that an ad blocker program would stop them. When I get home, I'll see if my program is transferable to tablets and phones. If so, I'll put the information on this thread. It won't be till next week though.

It is in Gwinnett County, just northeast of Atlanta. It is part of the metro area. I'm corrected all the time on my pronounciation since I just dropped the"r" when saying it.
I don't have the grid coordinates or long. & lat. for it.

I got back home and found that a Windows 10 update deactivated my Adblocker Plus for IE from Eyeo Gmbh, and I could not get it back running. I searched for other free ad blocking programs, and decided to try AdGuard AdBlock for Chrome. It is available for Windows, Mac, Andriod, and iPhone. It worked for all the sites except Facebook for the first three days, and today is blocking ads on Facebook too. As of right now, it has blocked eight ads on this thread posting and 9,885 in total. There are other free ones, but I'm happy with this one, and it can be downloaded onto Andriod tablets and phones. It shows up as a little green shield with a white check in the center on your upper right toolbar, just next to the Chrome control three dot icon. Good luck with it.
