I haven't seen one in person but the BLI HO scale Pennsy boxcab looks like a good effort.  BLI could take that effort and make a NH EP-3 boxcab series:

I doubt BLI will produce anymore NH models due to the poor sales of the I-4.

Where did I pick up the idea that the EF4s were nicknamed "Bricks"? Okay, "Virginians"  it is.

Mr. Ed(nhhe52). Those were my very thoughts when I first saw their announcement of the boxcab. I'm very happy with their I-5, I-4, and J-2 (although I will modify them the way Ms. Kathy Millatt did in her Model Railroader, vol. 78, no. 3, March 2011, article titled "Build a New Haven Class J-2 Heavy Mikado").

Richard:

I also have the BLI I-5 and I-4.  I had a problem with the I-4 running hesitantly or jerky at low speed, for lack of a better description, and the smoke wasn't working.  I sent to them and they sent it back running perferctly and functioning.

This is what is good about Rapido's system of not going forward unless preorders are suffficient to ensure a profit.

Rick - quick update!
I got through on the phone today to MTH.
Told them I was you.
They didn't believe me at first but I told them I had a bad head cold, was half in the bag and using a stolen disposable cell phone.
They said; "OK".

Told them the survey was done, really fast response and NHRHTA was good for 3,000 EF-3bs.

"THREE THOUSAND!" they said.
I told them "Yup, 1,000 each in three schemes; Brooks Brothers, Green and Gold and McGinnis"

"MCGINNIS!" they said, "What did the McGinnis scheme look like, do you have a photo?"
I told them I did somewhere, but asked if they remembered the HO Scale Penn Line GG-1 painted in McGinnis.

"Sure", they said.
I told them just like that!  Penn Line nailed it!

"OK", they said.

They start production June 1, should be ready to ship by end of August.

No need to thank me, happy to help!
Regards,
Peter

Rick

Ed:
This is off topic for the moment. The trailing truck on the I-4 is wrong. If you notice, it sticks out too far beyond the sides of the engine. I completely re-did mine to make it correct. Here's a shot with the corrected truck frame. I-4 trailing truck.JPG
