I have a book titled "The New Haven Railroad's Old Colony Division" by Robert A. Liljestrand published by Bob's Photo (2000). This soft-covered publication has many excellent pictures of the New Haven in steam and diesel including a shot of the long-gone Greenbush roundhouse. I do not remember how I got his book but believe it was from the NHRHTA some years ago. The best picture of the roundhouse and the yard with several trains and RDCs laying over is on the wall of the Dunkin Donuts across from the T's parking lot in Greenbush...worth the trip. I’m typing this from an MBTA commuter rail train between Greenbush and South Station. It’s clear the the terminal area in Greenbush was rebuilt for the MBTA, but how much does it differ from the New Haven days? Same location? Track arrangement?
I’ve seen one iconic photo of DER-1a-led trainsets laying over in Greenbush but not much detail beyond that.
