I would pay between 5-15 dollars, Ron, no higher.  Too rich for my hobby budget, too.

For that you could probably buy a matched set of 4 in HO scale. Nope, there are only 3.

Actually, I'm more curious about the heavyweight Pullman in the background.

Henry, I was thinking the same thing, but not for that price.  Even if it's an unusual shot of Dover Street, not for that much...

WHAT!!!! CRAZZZZZY!!!! What was the starting price?

It is funny I was just looking over some of my slides and came across one sleeve that had a label across the top it reads: MOST ARE ORIGINAL SLIDES $4.00 each or 3 for $10.00 Red border Kodachromes (pre 1956) are $10.00 each

While I think it is a prtty good slide it is just that pretty good. The only thing that makes it standout is there are not that many color slides of the FAs in that period. If it was close to home, meaning Worcester I could see 25.00 or so.
My period of interest is more Mid 1950s to 1968.
The slide listed starting at 4.99 it stayed low ,24.00 until August 1 then bidding opened up on August 3 in the afternoon to about 165.00 then doubled to about 370.00 then to the final price seconds later. Looks like about a dozen bidders.I wonder who the lucky New Haven fan was??
