When I saw this major error on the Atlas website I sent an email right off to them. To date, no response. I certainly hope it was no one from NHRHTA that gave them wrong info. The RS-3s were never Hunter Green and Warm Orange. Even the Warm Orange on their rendering is wrong!! They were delivered #13 Pullman Green and Warm Orange.

What exactly has been taken care of?

John
The bad paint job. I've already spoken to Atlas about it.

Mr. Train144 and other interested parties. I received a reply from Atlas about the headlight for the RS-3 model announced. Here it is.
"I checked with R&D regarding this and they said it is the dual headlight.
 Thanks,

So, I guess that I will be replacing four headlights once I receive mine. Any suggestions on the correct headlight casting from one of the detail parts companies? Thanks for any suggestions.

thanks for checking Richard. I made my own headlights on 2 of the old yellow box NH delivery scheme. I used aluminum tubing after drilling out the dual headlights out. When I finish my Hobbytown RS3 Alco rebuilds they will use the Detail Asociates dual sealed beam headlights.
It is interesting to see that the Bachmann RS3 has 2 different body styles with either the old single bulb  or the new dual bulb headlight.

I checked the Bachmann drawing it seems that there 3 different headlight inserts with the Bachmann bodys. The NH # 543 with the red hoods black cab came with the single bulb headlight which is what it did have on the prototype #543. My B&M units have the dual sealed beam headlight which is correct for them.

Thank you for checking.  I think I’ll pass on these units.
