And how is this a surprise?  I mean, it's been some 50 years since the railroad ceased to exist.

The important thing is that it lives on in our memories.

At a recent show in The Villages (S. of Ocala, Fl.)  I bought a IHC (Mehano) NH CDOT 6699 , well it 's a SDP 35 , I guess the memory will live on even if not prototypical (invoking the 5 foot rule here) !

Thanks Mr. Flatcar99 for the new look for CT Rail locomotives. I just went through the Matter proposed logos at http://streamlinermemories.info/?p=2283. While I did not find a match for the large logo and the small logo on the cab, these two logos are definately within the realm of Mr. Matter's proposed logos for the New Haven RR. So, in my opinion the CT Rail logos are still as New Havenish as all the other proposals Mr. Matter provided to the New Haven. That's my 2-cents worth of opinion. However I'm going to throw in another penny's worth. I think they are hands down better than the Penn Central logo, even if that seems to have fallen in line with Mr. Matter's proposed logos also.

That is nasty looking. Was that designed in a closet with the lights off?

Mr. Flatcarr99's posting (to someone who's always guzzling "Coke Zero") cracked me up.  :D  The white portion of the logo looks like someone threw a bucket of paint on "Pac-Man"!  I guess some high-powered marketing consultant (???) got lots of $$$$$ for that fantastic inspiration.  0_o

Still, have to give CDOT a bit of credit for reviving the Matter scheme for at least a few years,   A note, though; NEWER does not necessarily equal BETTER!  ;)  Just my 2 cents worth...
