I haven't been on as much as I used to be, so I haven't seen your signature. Your hair is absolutely stunning!

1cF/Mii
CO washing most days, shampoo 1 or 2 times a week. Detangler as needed. Deep condition about once a week with jojoba or plain ol' coconut oil. Regularly use coconut oil on ends when the weather is dry. Exfoliate scalp with sugar mixed into cheap conditioner whenever I feel like I need it. Heat styling (dryers/curling iron) used probably 6 times a year only for special occasions.

23/32.25"/tailbone

My hair right about the time I started, I had tried to dye the bleached ends to match the roots, but as you can see from the next pic, the dye didn't hold very long.

November 2008 since I started using cassia. Not much growth since August but I Love the shine I'm getting from the Cassia and it seems to really be protecting my ends

To trim on a full moon?? I haven't tried it before, but was curious as to what benefits it was supposed to have.

I never tried it till recently because I considered it gobbledygook. I did it for the first time last time I cut my hair. It sure seemed like it grew better afterward. I just could not get ends to my knees and after that trim, I almost did. (Did a trim last night so I'm farther from knee now.)

I did a quick Google and see it's based on astrology which means nothing to me since I'm born under the sign of the cross. But - the Farmer's Almanac -http://www.farmersalmanac.com/calendar/best-days/ - says the 13th of May is a good time to trim hair to retard growth so it must work both ways depending on the moon's phase. Makes sense since all things have their opposite.

You can search Health and Beauty at the Almanac -http://www.farmersalmanac.com/calendar/ ... th-beauty/ - and get best time for next trim.

Is there any science to it? I wonder. I'm not convinced, but have nothing to lose by it I suppose. What do you think?

The moon affects tides in a dramatic way, so maybe it would make sense that it could in some way affect our hair. I don't like the astrology stuff. That almost makes me not want to trim on that day just for that reason. It would be interesting to know if there was science behind it.

It doesn't hurt to do it on those days. But if you don't want to trim, then trimming to "grow" is counter productive.
