I've been trying a new bun each month but with not a lot of success. However today I've managed to do a French Twist, Artemis Bun, and now this latest one, the "Stay Put Bun". Pictures are also on the 1000 Days of Hair blog:

My pictures aren't that great (my arms aren't long enough to get a decent shot of the back of my head) but hopefully they'll inspire someone to give it a go. It has a lovely knotted appearance that hasn't really shown up in the pics.

My Method for Scalp Washes
Thanks so much for posting the pics and the link for the directions to this bun - I love it! I'm new here & just starting to experiment with buns. I was able to do this style easily the first time I tried it and it looks beautiful.

I was especially surprised to find out that it actually holds in place in my hair without using bobby pins or hair sticks! I've got thick, naturally curly hair (3a/b), and I've been wearing this bun around all day without using a single thing to keep it in place. I think it's something I could do at work without using a mirror, which is a plus because I often find myself wanting to put my hair up as the days goes by and I often forget to bring anything along to hold it up.

Thanks again!!
