I have been MIA for a few months. MY extended family has been going through a rough time and I haven't been spending as much time online.
I know it's customary to do a measure in at the beginning of the month, but I'm going to start doing an end of the month recap and measure-in.
I learned how to cut my own hair, so I no longer have to rely on a hairstylist who may or may not understand how long an inch is
-I did a 2in trim, as I'm trying to cut out the bleached ends of my hair a little bit at a time, and the 2in were in desperate need of being whacked off. With that in mind, my hair is measuring 24.5 after my cut. My first goal is to get to 28, so I'm hoping MAYBE by the end of the year I can reach this goal.
I henna'd my hair, but I only left it on 2hrs...it turned out nicely-the blend I used gave me the color I was wanting so I'm thinking I might leave it on a little longer next time. I used NightBlooming's Enyo Henna mix, on etsyhttps://www.etsy.com/listing/195367195/ ... e_active_2
I have stopped following the curly girl method religiously, as I hadn't noticed any improvements in my curl pattern and frizziness.
I have changed products to the Creme of Nature, Argan Oil products. https://www.amazon.com/NATURE-Moisture- ... +argan+oil
My goals for July are to be more consistent with sleeping in a head scarf, and to add a weekly deep conditioning treatment.

Many of us don't measure any more, or don't measure consistently, so we kinda dropped the monthly measure-in. Your idea of a monthly recap is nice - that way you can track changes in the routine and their eventual consequences. Also, many of us are rather MIA a while now... I hope your extended family is okay
Congrats for trimming your own hair To be able to control how much you trim off is invaluable in the process of growing out hair. By and by, your length goal for this year is achievable, and I hope you realize it
