I just saw at the Long Hair Community, Lady Godiva's instructions for her "Log Roll" updo. It was mentioned that there was a video of it somewhere but I didn't see one. Does anyone know about it or where I could find it? She had good pictures but they were small and a video or larger pictures would help.

...her video tutorial was on TLHS, which is no longer in existence. I'll search that out for sure and get back to you.

Ok, here is the link to the larger pics. The link to the video is at the bottom, next to the sunshine. http://www.forums.longhaircommunity.com ... stcount=17

I love this style. It's quite simple. Do post pics if you can.

I couldn't access it! The LHC wouldn't let me see it. Grrr. Very frustrating. Maybe if someone could explain the roll it would help. I didn't understand what LG did after she twisted the hair up. Did she "wrap" around it somehow? If the pictures had been bigger it would have helped tremendously.

Let's see if the direct link to the video will work. Let me know.

ETA: Hmmm... that doesn't seem to work. What happens when you click the link from the page I showed you before?

to the log in but won't let me see the video, probably because it's not a site I visit.

Even after I log in, the site won't let me even find it! I only just joined so that may be the reason. Very frustrating! If anyone can at least tell me how LG does it I would really appreciate it. I know it's easy but I want to know what she does after she twists and puts it up against her head. I can't tell what she does with the length. Does she simply wrap it and then clip it?

I will try to do a tutorial myself and post it here. Perhaps I can do a video as well. We'll see what I can come up with. Basically, yes, you just wrap the length and clip over the entire log. It's easier to show than to explain. I'll see what I can do.

FYI: now that I think about it, it is probably in the restricted section where you need 60 days and 100 posts to access it.

That would be great!! I know it's very simple but because of the size of the photos you couldn't tell what she was doing with the length. A video would certainly simplify things. Yes, it was in the restricted section and I haven't been there but a few days and haven't posted at all.

Got it!! Thank you SO much!! I have my hair in a braid today so it didn't "do" very well but I will try it later when I take the braid out.
