I love the one with the accent braid!  I haven't tried braiding an accent braid from the front back to the bun like that before so you have given me a new idea

Thanks for the great photos.

please post a pic. I'm sure your cinnamon bun is gorgeous
I know, we all feel self-conscious of our hair - when I see the beautiful heads of hair here, I don't feel great about my mostly frizzy and insanely color changing updos...

Hi Lori~

I didn't want you to think that I wasn't participating in your hairstyle challenges....I just haven't been able to take pictures, as my BF was out of town for a while (but is back now...)

Anyhoo, here is a variation of your original style: It's difficult to tell that it's a cinnamon bun, since it's braided...the texture of the braid kinda takes away from the pretty swirl that a cinnamon bun has, but it's still pretty, in it's own way. And, I get to show off one of my new sets of hair sticks that my secret Santa (LongHairedGeologist) made for me...

This bun is a bit fuzzy, because I wore it all day. The really cool thing is that I wore it all day, without figiting with my hair sticks....I'm finally starting to master how to use them properly, to hold my hair securely....yay me!

I will try to keep up with your challenges now!

Until I found this site, I had no clue how to properly use hairsticks....

I always thought that I couldn't hold my hair with them, due to the length/thickness/heaviness, but boy was I wrong! Once I saw some of the ladies on here with their hair in beautiful styles, held only by sticks, I figured out that I should be able to do that too!

I think I finally have the hang of it now...
