Definitely gonna see her at Glastonbury

saw her live about 6 times, each time blew me away, 1st at phoenix festival tripping, amazing fireworks - goldie, talvin singh and brodsky quartet all played alongside here and her live mixer zena. she employs best cutting edge musicians and live mixers. live shows always interesting as she will always do the songs in a different style from the album - always quirky, good and fun. good interation with crowd. saw live in union chapel once acoustic - no electricity whatsoever just thousands of flowers and candles - amazing voice filled the place to the rafters with backing from brodsky quartet - again interesting cover versions and usually upbeat songs in classical style - played petula clarke downtown - i like the way the stage show is always different from the album and she's always 2 steps ahead of the rest. she definately knows her music and scene and is generally proactive within it. definately see her - it will be the highlight of your weekend. i have to say i was in love with first 3/4 albums including sugarcubes, but have since lost touch since medulla etc - but she provided me with a lot of inspiration and energy for a good 4/5 years.

might be worth tracking down the surrounded version which is the 1st 3 albums remixxed to 5.1 - turn bass up loud for good experience

Im seeing her at two festivals in two weeks, have always liked Bjork but couldnt really imagine how she would go down live, particually the recent album which seems to be lacking in instruments, should be interesting to see.

Half way through Debut now - it's fucking ace! 10-15 years ago (Christ, has it been that long?) her voice used to really annoy me, so i sought refuge in such bands as Northern Uproar and Rialto. Now though, i love it! It's a really fun, atmospheric listen so far. Lovely!

The cattle are prowlin',
The coyotes are howlin'
Way out where the doggies roam
Where spurs are a jinglin'
And the cowboy is singing
His lonesome cattle call
