Depends on what you mean by right.

I would argue it is impossible to do Delayed Sword "right" unless it is preformed in the context of the rest of the system - that's where you learn all the rules of motion, what ifs, and spontaneous formulation that are necessary to approach a technique as it should be done (both physically and mentally).

But if you mean that people should be able to (at least) go through the empty motion of a technique before learning another, then certainly.

my frustration speaks of what I have seen lately ... I really dont want to get into what my "right" is ... no offense I just dont want to get into it ... my point -wasn't about delayed sword persay but rather focus on learning something and doing it well before learning motion you arent ready for.

build the foundation ... I know you know what I am talking about.
