So, LU Loyalist finally reveals his (or her) true utterly selfish moronic colours.

Let's abandon 'a few' closing offices shall we, so we can set up picket lines on the 13 centres? Is that it? The sole and only strategy from R&C Group?

For those who don't know, 'the few' are something like 130 offices!

So as far as LU are concerned, since the offices are closing, and the majority of people there will not be able to move with the work (Inverness to Edinburgh? St Austell to Bristol?) they can be chucked aside because they are of no further use to the 'struggle' or whatever it is. Congratulations cannon fodder, you voted for them, this is what you get back.
Your expertise and handiness with an ice pick would be invaluable in leading local campaigns - you are so clever it's obvious HMRC would listen and change their plans.

Or why not use people's misery to insult them and attack LU instead - oh yes that's what you are doing - traitor.

You do realise that LU Loyalist is a spoof poster, don't you.

To be honest, I'm not sure that you aren't either.

Pretty much hitting the nail on the head. The group silence since the big announcement is deafening.
The silence is merely because LU (along with the other Corbynistas) now has the opportunity to fulfil its true mission by participating (through Momentum etc) in national politics again. The welfare of PCS members must always take a back seat when there is clearly a more important destiny to work towards. They will only argue this is what members mandated when they voted (nearly two years ago?) for a campaigning union. Mugs, the lot of you....

100s of off site meetings, numerous political briefings with our parliamentary contacts, widespread consultation with members, intensive counter planning all undertaken without undue publicity, no wonder members are pleased to stay in PCS and resist the supposed blandishments offered by the puppet staff association which is funded - how ?

Interesting that the microscopically minded people who pollute this site are only capable of thinking two things:

1. Despite any evidence to the contrary, or considering any evidence at all, LU and their fellow travelling cretins are always right, because only they can be right, all other answers are impossible.

2. Anyone who disagrees with 1 is a Nazi and must be ruthlessly persecuted (like the Nazis did - oops!)

And people wonder why turnout in elections is minimal, people cross picket lines etc? The whole purpose of a Trade Union is to represent the members in collective bargaining with management, not to use it as a platform to espouse loony ideology which can only work because the very establishment which they vehemently oppose actually permits it to by granting it facility time, paid time off etc.

It is of course in management's interest to have a TUS because it means they can wave around the pretend fig leaf of 'consultation' but then pay absolutely no attention at all to representations. In which they are greatly assisted by the TUS side behaving like spoilt schoolchildren, losing their temper, insulting the Official Side and walking out of meetings. And most members only belong because PCS provides a vehicle for assisting with grievances and disputes with managers, H&S and so on. So PCS is increasingly becoming a management puppet (or Muppet, depending on your point of view).

The biggest complaint by far emerging from the People Survey is PMR. Nobody, including most managers, want it. It is a complete pain for everyone and achieves nothing. We are now in year two, so it's not as if we don't know what its all about. It is easily defeated by reasoned argument, academic research and examples from industry who have abandoned it. And about which PCS has done precisely nothing whatsoever. Again.

Nobody, but nobody (other than the vanishingly minute caucus of self serving morons) is in the slightest bit interested in the 'struggle' or whatever it is called these days. It is simply an irrelevance to them. So we are in the midst of the inevitable and slow decline of what was once a meaningful and purposeful union into a meaningless and sidelined irrelevance.
I read this again with the hindsight of being able to see what RCTU people known to me have actually done in real life since closures and one to ones have begun.

Answer nothing - haven't turned up at campaign events, haven't spoke up in offices in my Branch in real, life to real members, haven't identified themselves as RCTU ..................Nothing.
