I have not been up to the cabin this past month. Is there still snow on the top of Hyak? I may head up next weekend to do some Hiking.

There is still snow around. We went for a bike ride today down the FS road that cuts across Hyak and the road still has lots of snow, and not passable beyond Mill Creek. Head up the hill and there is a decent amount above 3,500' but most sun facing slopes are bare.

I see the DOT reporting that the snowpack has melted out as of Wednesday. Out driveway is now passable. If only the rain would stop...

Depends on where you want to go. The FS roads are not passable. My measuring stake is leaning, but hasn't fallen yet as of this morning, but it might be down this afternoon?? 3k and below the snow is patchy. 3,500' and above there is still snow. Temps have been in the upper 30's to mid 40's all this week and snow above 4,500' tue/wed. (top half of Alpental was covered in new, white snow)

There are still patches of snow on the Gold Creek Pond loop, on the far side. Stack guesstimates it will melt in maybe 2 weeks.
