I have not heard of anything but seems like this past winter was a pretty successful one!

A couple of years ago Crystal announced plans to build Kelley's Gap Express from the parking lot up to Green Valley, and (re)-install the Bouillion Basin chair on the other side of the valley that was moved to the T-Bar hill to become Gold Hills. Haven't heard anything on that in awhile now.

Again, rumors only. We believe it when we see it. Heard from middle management supervisor.

Permanent power to be installed up the face to run both chairs, plus provision for or actual install of a cell tower on Mt Hyak.

Work to install power is underway. There is a trench up the face with some pipes laid.

That would explain the extensive hole and amount of conduit in the hole. It was also rumored it is preparation for the lodge that would be built about 100 yards south of the old Keechelus lift. That would be very cool if it were to come true, but that is still down the road.

Do you have any more information on that proposed lodge you mentioned earlier?

No, nothing new. If it were to happen I'd guess it would be a couple years at least, but you never know.

We're told that the power connection is pending completion shortly. Peace be on the mountain top!

Not completed yet? Hopefully it is done before Xmas when Hyak usually opens.
