I wnat to drill into the hammer for a QB to move the cocking pin to make a pull to cock modification. What type of 3/16" drill bit should I use and what speed should I run my drill press?
TIA
Fred

that you will have a chance with would be an American made carbide drill (I'd recommend screw machine length). You might want to grind a small flat spot for the drill to start from. Some of the folks anneal them, drill, and then re-harden.

and some have even managed to use regular HSS because nobody told them they couldn't.
Use cutting fluid and/or freshly sharpened drill. If the QB is like the Crosman, it's
case hardened so it pays to break the skin with a diamond or carbide burr, then any
drill can be used.
