687 !

with SSP's.......

CPHP averaged around 450, Destroyers around 460 and the SSP around 660.

Just wish the SSP's had a more "diablo" kinda shape. dont see how the big cup on the nose is helping aerodynamics......

Did you try it with BB's?

Sounds like the numbers a just a bit low based on what the box says, unless they've been using those lead-free pellets in their tests! LOL

I picked up a new one at Wally's the other night. Maybe this weekend I do something with it.

I plink, therefore I am.

what are SSPs?

are those velocities a little low though with the 7.9 grain pellets?

I chrony'd my son's Daisy model 35 last week - the box claimed 625 with BBs and 605 with pellets.

I got 627fps with BBs, and 575 with 7.9 grain domed crosmans.

I was thinking that the Crosman 760 was supposed to have similar power to the Daisy 35 - with a 625fps claim with BBs.

Yeah, supposed to be in the low 600's (similar the to the Daisy) according to the package. I guess it's not just 1000 fps springers that get their velocities fudged. lol

Maybe if you super cooled the air charge you pump in more power.....

SSPs are Crosman's supersonic pellets.. I've also read somewhere that they do test with them to get the impressive numbers on the box... So, the Chrony numbers actually sound averagely good...

till then...

I should also mention, that the gun might have a 75 shots thru it since i got it.

Did notice that the first string I shot started in the 440's and started to climb thre 450 and into the 460s

They are fun to shoot in something that has a oomph to push it.... they go supersonic in my b40, Mrod and Phantom

a lot of people like shooting them in their Co2 guns... I've actually never tried them because of price but if I came across some that were cheap, I'd shoot them in my pump guns...
