I don't think I have one out and out favourite, so there'd have been plenty of worthy winners. The music is important to me too ... so I fail to see how this dirgy, flattened out, grey expanse is so revered. I've heard it plenty of times, recorded and live, have never warmed to it, but, might play it as an introduction to a prospective fan because it's not much of a step for a metal head to get into it. If Radio Caroline was still going they'd probably stick it on at a roadshow.R. Out of the finalists Blindness wins for me because if you took the vocal out of Winter it wouldn't have made it very far. Whereas some of the best moments of Blindness live have been after MES exits.
When it comes to most music I vibe more on the band and instrumentation than the vocalist/lyrics so that makes it the winner.
As I have mentioned before on here, they play it often, it's 6-7 minutes long, everyone else seems to love it .... so, a perfect time to take a pee or go to the bar.
I'm clearly in the minority. I don't care though.
