Cheers. I'm all for people just going about their lives and playing music or whatever. I don't have tv and mostly use the earphones. These guys throw personal insults your way as you go past and I just can't be bothered. I just look fwd to them disappearing soon haha.

Personal obnoxiousness mainly. I've never made a noise complaint, ever, but they over react to any stereo use they hear with late night and early morning bursts of the worst top 40 imaginable and open and close windows while shrieking like idiots. Not as much fun as it soubdsbb

A random thumbs up for the mysterious track they did for Peels anniversary. Only time I've heard it I think (it's on the Peel sesh set).

Due to dickhead neighbours, I prefer weekdays to weekends (when they're home).
"Oh God it's Friday. At least it'll be Monday soon".

Says indignantly, I didn't know there was a CSelfish 2CD set.
This may be a way to procure it then.
Thanks for the link.

I'm trying hopelessly to download the Amazon image for used CS CD reissue but anyway it's going for $240.00US.

Gasp!

It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't make the latest Blondie album sound like Totales Turns by comparison. The sight of Paul H singing along to that horrible cheesy chorus. How they have lasted longer than Ark I don't know. Pledge!;!

I'd pick a subject we could collude on against e everyone else. Sincerely, not Machiavellian. He is very intelligent and persuasive, funny and adversarial. I respect that implicitly. And I'd give him final cut on interview content.

Annd: I just heard it via the NFEmerge thread and a very fine song it is too: like a light but punchy Peel Sessions track to listen to.
Very impressed.
Thanks for lyric etc.

Steve I'd also add that the song has a certain good natured air that comes with a band enjoying itself - not that I am saying The Fall or any band need to sound happy (a puzzling requirement on TV talent shows) but the occasional such track IS fun.

Craig was missed, but Light User was a great pop album and Levitate was chew-the-carpet insane genius and one of the best rock albums ever. So: CCaustic turned out to be an essential bridge.

It was a bit disappointing at the time. A string of brill albums, then the sheer exuberance of Info Scan. MCR was 50% stuff we owned so felt like a Seminal Live type stopgap. Cerebral Caustic had high expectations but was undercooked.

Individual can sales of high strength Dutch beer from the supermarket. Large cans quite cheap. And nice.

I liked A Separation and Incendies very much. The director of the latter, Dennis Villeneuve or something Canadian, has since gone into horrifying decline. I blame crap like Tree of Life for this, which set a bad example.

None. Haven't owned one in ages. Peasantry reasons. Don't miss it all, in fact when I ruminate about it I resent it.
The previous msg to this mentions Tarkovsky. I darebt read, though his films are on you tube I believe.

Where I am, new vinyl sales are boutique purchases: specialised and overpriced. Perhaps they are "hipster" items but I'm not sure we have hipster here yet. I'll be buying the newie digitally, and no apology.

Absolutely fantastic. Best recording I've heard in years. Uber glam riff, fierce vocals, moody bridge section, brief seven minutes. Life affirming and rock n roll at its finest.
