I'm just glad The Classical won't win, and there's still hope for a fairly 'new' (i.e. featuring a still-present, non-MES band member, and still played live) track to triumph.

Thanks again for all the effort you've gone to for this gohoho90 - you can do next year's too!
Thanks for that, Bert.

Indeed, I was glad the semis draw came out as it did. Also, based on the result of the final, think one of us can claim some sort of moral cup victory, too. ;)

It'll certainly be more a case of 'next decade' than of 'next year' for me, though....

I (obviously) wanted "Blindness" vs "The Classical." (Well, once "Container Drivers" and "Noel" went out anyway!)

So I'm glad that "Blindness" advanced . . . . but, honestly, if I had to pick only one of them to move on, I would have picked "The Classical."

I wouldn't have much to complain about in a "Classical" vs "Garden" final. I'm not wild about "Garden," but it at least has enough THERE there to feel like a real, robust song once it gets going.

"Blindness" vs "Winter," on the other hand . . . . snark ahoy!

All we ever wanted was sanitary plumbing, straight roads, and a sense of belonging to a community of interest that could reasonably call itself civilized. (Charles Hayward)

Fucking "Winter" knocked out BOTH of my predicted finalists.

Goddammit!

I wanted a Classical vs Blindness final.

Two hours ago I wasn't getting either, but now it's come to it, I'm not sure how I'll vote next.

Ditto.

Gutted about the classical, but glad blindness is through. I think winter v garden would have been a bit of a dull final.

And even deeper condolences to robbroncs who, at 2 minutes to nine, looked home-and-dry with a Garden-Winter final.
