I was saving this for a rainy day (which it is.) I've heard enough PD in the past to kind of know what to expect, but this isn't quite like what's come before. In a way, these tracks are more melodic and soothing than earlier PD constructions (although 'Le Docteur' is in the more familiar territory of the harsh, siren-like sonics), yet still unpredictable, sonically unusual, and as far from the middle of the road as you could wish for... :)

Thanx for the comments, FL, the check is in the mail... But seriously, there's no chronological order in the placement of the tunes, older stuff cohabits with more recent ones.

I heard comments that Volume 2 is the easy listening one of the bunch...

Ah, yeah, I got that feeling when I saw German Sex on there, cos I'd heard that one before.

Onward to Vol. 2 then! :)

Yes, a new album, yes it's barely an half and hour, yes the last tune is a Whitehouse cover, yes it's a track of silence, but it's still free...

Just had a listen to 'Fluorescent.' It's all up to the usual PD standard of quality, but I wanted to especially make mention of the opening track, "Arvidasse." It's wonderfully hypnotic; if it had gone on twice as long I wouldn't have minded. Great stuff, Ryan...

Dogr*per is my current fave. I like!

Some of them are like sketches, and I feel like - in my imagination at least - one or two of them could be teased out into 15-minute epics. Don't tempt me you say. . .

Too jarring to be Ambient, too hypnotic to be Industrial... PD has done it again! Check it out, ya avant-gardeners... B)
