One of the support bands is Blood Sport, worth seeing in their own right.

I'm not that type of wanker.

Defo.

Think I'll book a room. I've driven there and back for the last two Newcastle gigs which means 200 miles and no ale. A bit of an ordeal.

Twin room in a more than decent city centre hotel available for less than £60. Any of my pals up for a share?

Imagine sharing a hotel room with another Fall fan! Farting the riff from 'Bremen Nacht' all night and stinking of sausage. You fucking horrible cunts

Saw Sparks in this same venue last week (who were magnificent). It's a new place behind the train station, very high ceiling like an airport hangar.

Hope he doesn't cancel.

With regards to procuring tickets, in the words of Szell, "is it safe?"

We still on tonight then?

What do you/we think about dialing down the drama?

New song lyric?

(Hurl may be onomatopoeic already but hrll is better!)

Right. Really great gig, and the context makes me think it might be regarded as a classic.. Smith lasted 47/48 mins and went off when he was ready.spoke to Pam during the encore as she got me a setlist. She agrees he was better than in Friday and that getting the first one out of the way had been good for him.
I also, brifly, had the mix during Bury. Hope someone recorded it.

I thought it was great. That band is so tight and hit some heights tonight. Obviously Mark looked unwell but his voice was great and he put a hell of a lot into it. It's the best I've seen him perform vocally in years. I really hope he gets through this (whatever it is) and that I get to see them many more times. The greatest Fall gigs I've seen have all been in the last three or four years which is a surprise to me because, as much as I love the last decade and half's worth material, most of the genuine classics, many would say, were a good while back.

I'm with you. Might be regarded as a classic. I was desperate to have a go on that mic but Pam never got to me. I liked her. She seemed very sound.
