Ridiculously tough choice, but NP edges it.

Can't mention an argument against NWRA as there isn't one. Just love NP. And tickets. :)

New Puritan marginally the better epic ballad.

The NWRA should be taking the whole thing, not struggling into the next round. Wake up, people.

Almost impossible choice. N.W.R.A by the narrowest of margins.

Elaborating on nothing in praise of the track, I'll vote for N.W.R.A.
No contemporary account of this shadowy event has come to light, but some later events are compared to it.

I think NP gets a slightly, erm, enhanced reputation from the scarcity of the full-band version over the years, lending it an air of undiscovered/suppressed masterpiece. There's no denying its fabulousness but "The N.W.R.A" remains absolutely astonishing in its breadth.

(Here we go again) Tempertantrum wrote about this in a post about another of this week's draws - The NWRA is the better "song" but I haven't heard a more urgent/spirited/etc performance than the Peel Puritan, so that.

Although I'm more of a YZN than a LBB this would have been a worthy final.

Huh, not that it's a landslide but I'd have expected it to be closer, and I'd have maybe expected New Puritan in the lead by a little, since it is the band's best performance in the studio (Peel version, although the TT version is great for its own reasons). But I do get why some would vote the other way, this isn't mystifying like some of these votes have been.

I'm voting NP because I would probably vote for it till the end given the chance (Peel). This pair deserves to be fighting it out later though and the N.W.R.A. is obviously amazing. Looks as if it's winning and I'll get over it.
