:) So, it's still playable, then? I figured you took an old knackered axe and made something new...

Aye, this was only a temporary arrangement, so it should still be fine. At least, I hope it is, cos I need it for these tracks! I suppose I'll find out when I put new strings on it

IMPORTANT

Okay, we need somebody to do Recovery Kit (the album version).

Who's up for it?

Current deadline is Sunday 16th June, but could be extended to 1st July or thereabouts.

If there are no takers I can knock one up, but... well, do we really want to inflict three new Les Waters tracks on the world?

I'm nearly there, just having a bit of a problem making the drums not sound totally shit. Oh and my vocalist keeps being unavailable. But about 80% there and definitely ready by 16th June.

Update: I've been having a few technical problems at this end with regards to my recording set up, I'm afraid. (I should be using some computer-based thing by now like everyone else - I know, I know!)

Anyway, I'd like to think that I'll be able to find some way to have my track ready for the 16th - but it's going to depend on borrowing a portastudio from somewhere or managing to get mine fixed.

Although I'll try my best to get something completed, I don't want to hold everything up indefinitely - it sounds as if there are going to be a few extra Spartas, so at least there won't be a gap on the album if the worst comes to the worst.

Apologies for any inconvenience/uncertainty.

Thanks for the update, Peter! I hope you manage to suss something out. If you and/or others don't make it by the 16th, it'll be no probs to extend a further couple of weeks.

I mean, a deadline is good to spur people on to get stuff finished, but there's no big record company waiting for this; this is our project and we can do what we bloody well like, right? ;)

Anyway,we're happy so far, In These (initial) Times, so hopefully a Mountain yer. way.

Love, Derek & Michelle.

Fantastic! Very glad to hear it. As I said above, 16th is something to aim for, but I'm not gonna cut anyone off if they're close but not complete.

Recorded my vocals this morning. Had to go into a field to do it, cos there was no way I wanted the neighbours to hear *that*.

I've PMed The Lunatic Engineer to see if they're still in.

If not, then we'll need an 'Open the Boxoctosis #2'

Who thinks they could pull one out of the hat by July 1st?

Well, I've started so I'll finish, but it would definitely sound better kept inside my head. My plans for it went out of the window and it's all gone a bit pear shaped but that is a good thing, right? Will try and balls it up some more tomorrow night. :-)

I'm in the mixing phase of my 'Recovery Kit,' but, like some songs do occasionally, it is resisting being mixed!
