Our last new member joined on December 7, the day this round opened . . . so at least we should be clear that no one is gaming the system, and that we just collectively make really bad decisions about things all on our own, honest and legal like.
All we ever wanted was sanitary plumbing, straight roads, and a sense of belonging to a community of interest that could reasonably call itself civilized. (Charles Hayward)

That's assuming that anyone who may have access to more than one account are only using accounts that have been recently created.

True.

I like to pretend that folks are generally honest, ethical, and forthright about such matters.

Same here. I think I'll just ignore it and let the chips fall where they may, whether or not the chips have only landed in their final position due to inconsiderate selfish cheaters. :)

Which CLEARLY will be the case if we end up with a "Winter" vs "Garden" final.

There's no way an honest, un-gamed system could produce something like THAT!!!

He hasn't signed in for 6 months. And I was never convinced that was someone who already had an account.
Vestido de Apollo and wicked witch on the other hand both signed in four days ago, within two minutes of each other. I've seen it before in another cup on here, exact same thing, five minutes before the vote ended both signed in within a minute of each other. And surprise surprise a certain poster's favourite song won by one vote.
What's the point of that?!

If "they" did, I'd rather hope Madame Cholet and Uncle Bulgaria will do the honours and balance things out, but you can't rely on those cunts.

I wouldn't say multi-voting from multi-accounts is cheating, we're all free to do the same if we wish.

I don't think it's very ethical though.

But what possible pleasure can someone get from knowing that their favourite song has won but only because they gave themselves more votes than everyone else had?

Yeah, it doesn't make sense. If you multi-voted it over the top it just tells you something you already know, that you yourself prefer it.

As the man used to say:

No contemporary account of this shadowy event has come to light, but some later events are compared to it.

Really? I remember you implying it was Zoot but I could have sworn I saw them both signed in at the same time on a couple of occasions.

And renders the entire result pointless as it tells us nothing in the end.

Angry Lad was Bertie Wooster!? Talk about blowing hot and cold.
