Wake Island is in play once again as an unsinkable aircraft carrier. Soon Midway and Johnston will be also.

More proof the carrier's obsolescence 

Carriers will never be obsolete. Wake island can be completely destroyed by a typhoon/cyclone. 
If we engage the enemy in the middle east, can we move wake island?

Carriers are sitting targets that will be in port when the shooting starts with Chy Na. The most they will do is patrol the coast of America if they leave port at all. 

Imagine a sunk carrier by a Chy knees sub in a thousand foot of water with 6k people lost and a nuke reactor still turning.

Research the Falklands war. Little ole Argentina gave the Brits a run for their money...Imagine what Wo Fat has gotten from the Dems and the technology they gave the Chy Knees.

Plenty of US Naval battles vs the Japs. Look them up. You must have been to busy brushing up on your Mandarin.

Does my military experience matter....and what if its army guard and not Navy...does it then become irrelevant.

Money is spent on these projects of carriers when it should be in subs...most nations get that...including the chinese

If you recall the jap being much smaller a nation gave the world a run for its money early on an until the bomb dropped....the chinese threw us out of Korea...expect another desperate time when this kicks off
