Does my military experience matter....and what if its army guard and not Navy...does it then become irrelevant.

If you want to be a blind cheerleader rooting for your home team...go right ahead. The emperor will have no clothes still.

All taxpayers and citizens are entitled to an opinion....didn't people just defend Trump for not being military....do you have an opinion of teachers and education never having taught...

Money is spent on these projects of carriers when it should be in subs...most nations get that...including the chinese

If you recall the jap being much smaller a nation gave the world a run for its money early on an until the bomb dropped....the chinese threw us out of Korea...expect another desperate time when this kicks off
So you would rather I root for China. Phuck off.
You have no idea what you speak of. I believe China has only two nuclear submarines, the rest of their subs are all diesel. They have to come up to refuel and are noisy as hell. The entire US sub fleet are nuclear, no refueling and very quite. We also have the biggest hunter killer sub fleet in the world. Their main purpose is to hunt enemy subs.
China has only two air craft carriers, one I believe is diesel. I beleve we have 11 carriers all nuclear.
    Keep on rooting for China.
Did you also cheer when China gave us the Wuhan virus.

. Actually the Japanese ran wild for approximately 6 months after Pearl Harbor, just as Yamamoto predicted, they did conquer an enormous amount of territory. After that time the Japanese for the most part was on the defensive. The allies suffered horrific casualties in taking back the Japanese held territory but it was largely a defensive war for Japan. As far as the Atomic bomb bringing the Japanese to their knees, while I don’t question it’s use, hindsight being 2020, Gen.LeMays fire bombing of Japan was well on its way to also ending the war.

Falklands (one of the 16 choke points), in distance, was about the farthest point on a map as you can get from Great Britain or any British base.. Getting their limited assets there was a struggle ...Their Navy back then (could or can ) hold a candle to ours... A  single US carrier battle group packs a ton of bad-ass defensive systems and PUNCH, above and below the ocean surface. The democrat backed Chinese  might try, but the odds of coming out on top would be slim to none!

The aerial refueling planes are at risk,  our KC planes will be vulnerable and need at least escorts. No country in the pacific will let us operate from their land without that country being attacked or on the verge. Forget the New Zealanders with no attack air force and no will. Maybe the Japanese or Koreans will help or allow use of the land. Thats where these islands come into play.

We lost 560 M1 Abrams in Iraq to a force or enemy with no tanks. The RPG9 is 500 dollar tank killer. Main battle tanks are obsolete and we have not developed one since the 1970s. At some point the carrier becomes the battleships of old and suffers the same fate as they did in World War Two.

To your point, just how far will our lines be stretched as the Brits were...Clark and Subic are in the dumpster and is now a business park. Do they starve the fleet by picking off the tankers coming to fuel the frigates and bring more av gas....it takes a lot to support that massive carrier group and protect the supporting ships that bring supplies to those frigates and destroyers who protect the carrier. This will be new territory for our navy who has not fought a naval war since 45.

The indians are testing planes with microwave weapons that will cook the ground troops alive in fear of China on their border.

Recently The USN announced its return to manual steering and engine controls after the collision in the south china sea....did china hack the steering systems. My bet is that the Democrats of today make the Rosenbergs look like shoplifters in a dollartree.

You do realize we have 20 plus US military bases in Japan. We have I think 15 bases in South Korea. A sub and Airforce base on Guam, Diego Garcia, etc. I could go on and on.
As for Iraq, we destroyed thousands of Iraqi tanks during the war.
Very telling how you believe every other military is superior to ours.
