Yeah they sure are. We had a dyke team working mids that would run lights and sirens to one and you really had to watch your intersections so it isn't just guys.

I preferred not to interfere unless one was really getting hurt, or it was crack 'ho's because they were dangerous. Your really dont want to put your hands on a scantily clad 20-something Lefty anyway cause you'll probably grab something by accident and catch a beef. Anyway it was mostly hair pulling, cussing, and clothes tearing. Yuppie woman at night clubs really dont know how to hurt each other.

We had a cop transferred into our pct from Manhattan, her nickname was “Sugar”??? As the story goes a sector car pulls up to her foot post , and sees her wailing away at someone. They were duly impressed with seeing a rookie  female cop mixing it up with a perp. They get out to help and imagine their surprise when they see the “perp” is another female cop from the pct in full uniform. I worked a 12x8 w/ her one night and found out where the nickname came from she put 12 sugars into a cup of coffee.  Sugar was good people though.

I worked with a female cop  in the late 1980's-early 1990's. What precinct did she transfer to? She was one tough cop who can handle herself, and spoke like a lady. She always had your back.

We had one about four feet tall. Puerto Rican bull dagger. Nightstick dragged the ground. A hundred pounds of dynamite. She was tenacious and would never back down.
