On Christmas Day, Ty Jordan, Utah’s 19-year-old star freshman running back, was shot dead in what was described as a self-inflicted accident.
He was merely following his coaches instructions ...
"To play the position you need eyes in the back of your head!"
To save on the surgery expense, he was just making the pre-opp hole!

The reign of Roger Goodell has been the worst possible leadership at the worst possible time. Police departments USED to understand the concept: speeding problem on one road? Heavy enforcement. Same with every other type of crime, simply adjust the response. Had that useless fuckwad Goodell put his foot down when Kaepernick started his clown show, none of this would be happening. Same with "college" football, where athletically talented neanderthals breeze through 3 or 4 years of "higher education" on their way to the Promised Land of Illiterate Thuggery, aka the NFL.

I cancelled DirecTV's NFL package. I dropped out of all the pools that I never won but thoroughly enjoyed (there were/are probably a few here that were in the 80-man online pool that was fun for years). No more football merchandise, licensed or otherwise. And I can honestly say that our home has not had one NFL game on it this year.

BUT.....we will be hosting our annual Superbowl party, now in about its 10th year since coming down here. Usually around 30+ people, tons of food, gallons of booze, bartender, the whole nine yards; this year it will be around 8 of us that usually have dinner once a week (before The Plague), a couple of delivered pizzas, maybe some stromboli. Personally, I don't care who plays in it and probably will watch about 5 minutes of it, BUT I'LL BE DAMNED IF THOSE SELFISH MUTHERFUCKERS ARE GOING TO RUIN ONE OF THE LAST SOURCES OF ENJOYMENT I HAVE.

And when the NHL season resumes, I will focus my sports-deprived brain on that. They played the management game and said a few nice things about The (alleged) Struggle, and then they went out on the ice and PLAYED FUCKING HOCKEY. No bullshit slogans or other crap, and they put on a Stanley Cup Final that was a tribute to the sport and its fans.

All the rest of them can go fuck themselves into poverty and oblivion. Hey, they've got those valuable college degrees to fall back on, right?

“I come in peace,” Mattis recalled telling them. “I didn’t bring artillery. But I’m pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you fuck with me, I’ll kill you all.”

Good points,  It's my understanding that AT&T which own's Direct TV is looking to jettison  It's satellite TV service as subscriptions continue to tank. Me thinks once this abomination of this NFL season is over and the bean counters at the NFL figure out how much money they lost catering to these Soul-Less Morons the owners will be able to use this as an excuse to try to get the element back into some semblance of respectability. As far as I'm concerned Roger Goodell, the players, owners and other apologist's can go Suck A Dead Dog's Dick......Gosh I Miss Roller Derby!

I REALLY DON'T THINK THEY CAN PUT THE GENIE BACK IN THE BOTTLE.  THE MANAGMENT OF THE NFL ARE SURE TO GO DOWN IN HISTORY AS THE MOST FOOLISH BUSINESS MEN THE WORLD HAS EVER SCENE.  SURE THEY CAN GO TO CHINA BUT THE REDS WILL TAKE THEM FOR EVERYTHING THEY HAVE.  GOOD RIDDENCE TO A TRULY BUNCH OF APES.

I agree with Beachwear. Remember those high-intensity romances of your youth, when you thought your heart would cease functioning and the world would end when you got dumped? Same thing, except worse. This is like getting dumped and then having your ex gang-banging three of your worst enemies in the car next to yours at the drive-in. Ain't no goin' back after that show.

Congratulations, Roger. The only people dumber than you are the old toadies who own the teams. Will they survive? Sure, but they'll be looked at like the money losing twits that they are, stumbling around like Ray Charles on a miniature golf course. And how 'bout all those new taxpayer funded stadiums?

It's absolutely stunning how guilt can destroy the most powerful nation on the planet. For what?

Enjoying minor league hockey in Florida!  Cheap tickets, cheap food and drink, and competitive play.  That will work for me !
