NYPD Reminds Officers About Dangers Of Steroids  |
| April 06, 2008 The New York Police Department handed out a bulletin to its officers reminding them that steroids are not only illegal, but dangerous. According to the New York Post, the two-page bulletin says, among other things, that steroids can lead to "aggressive, antisocial or inappropriate behavior," and that they put officers at greater risk for cancer and high blood pressure. The memo comes after six policemen were suspended for allegedly buying human growth hormone and anabolic steroids last October. A police spokesman said the memo was a reminder to officers and that despite the warning, the NYPD has not expanded an internal anti-steroid investigation. |
