Gregory Sokolohorsky, 46, a Stony Point resident, passed away on March 7th, 2008, at home. Born on February 2, 1962, in the Bronx, the son of Victor and the late Annette Sokolohorsky. A 1981 graduate of North Rockland High School he attended East Carolina University. He is survived by his brother Boris, sister Nella, sister-in-law Kerry, beloved nieces Julia and Shannon and nephew Andrew. He was a Rockland County Correctional Officer for the past 21 years. Gregory was an active member of the Haverstraw Elks Lodge #877. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle and dear friend to all that knew RIF. He was loved by all and will be sorely missed. Visiting will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Monday from 5 to 9, at Higgins Funeral Home in Stony Point. 11 am funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the Russian Orthodox Church, Novo-Diveevo in Spring Valley, New York.
