The TV has always been in the Det Sqd.
Well over 15 years ago when I got to the Sqd the tv was always on.
Is it acceptable to have watched NYPD Blue ? A SuperBowl ? CNBC ?
Heck, there used to be a Capt in the Boro at PBBS who's office there looked like the floor of the Stk Market.
When I was in the Sqd and NYPD Blue was on, I quickly learned what happened if you chose not to watch it........ you answered every phone call and dealt with
every issue for that hour.
I soon became an avid watcher of it.
And all kidding aside, as for the bomber caper. I'll rag on this JOB as much as the next one. Maybe even more than some.
But for those who've never investigated a case where the perps aren't listed on the 61 as in a DV caper... It just isn't easy. It's a true
measure of skills to find an unknown perp.
And many times it comes down to some unknown person giving the info up for their own personal reason, at the time of their choosing.
You guys are a little unfair on this one.
