    Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.

Call it what you will: Monday morning quarterbacking, pandering to the communi-tay, sucking up to your daddy, whatever. You are nothing more than a target for psychos with weapons, criminals with knives or guns, disgruntled parasites and anarchists, and your own "leaders".

Proceed at your own risk, not to mention your family's.

You're comparing apples to pineapples.......The two cases are completely different.   The gun that was "found" in the Glover case was found after the crime scene was already broken down....at least a day later.....Shame on the cops who didn't fight for the crime scene to be maintained and the sewers and other areas searched before they broke down the scene.   In the case at hand now it is exactly like the Steve Sullivan case except this was the Patrol Sergeant and not Emergency Services Unit.  I guess Deblasio and O'Kneeling down and blowwwing Diblasio have determined that the Sergeant should have just allowed this psycho to stab him.......I thank God every day that I'm out of the NYPD.....

If they fire him the job will come to a screeching halt because it will be the incident that opens the eyes of every MOS of every rank to the current bullshyte that is goinfg on in the job. If they fire him we need to storm the castle!....(puzzle palace)
        You are kidding, right?

The day the verdict comes down, whether it be from the criminal trial or the kangaroo court, there will be cops asking their bosses two things: (1) how many summonses/collars do you want, and, (2) how's it look for me going to (fill in your favorite detail or non-patrol assignment here i.e. Anti-Crime, etc).

Many will, no doubt, see the light. But there are MANY MORE, new on the job, who will look at what happen and say (A) that happened in the Bronx, and I work in (another borough) (B) Well, she only had a baseball bat; and/or (C) that can't happen to me.

Unfortunately, too many here on this Board are still looking at the 21st Century NYPD through the eyes of what we would call "real cops" from the 60s to the early 90s. There's a reason why the PD BENDS OVER BACKWARDS to hire candidates who have "English as a Second Language," and who sought citizenship a year before they came on the job, and probably only because they sought the job: they know these people cannot believe that they have the salary they have (albeit an artificially low salary) and benefits for just showing up. They don't want guys like Sgt. Barry anymore; they want people who just "carry the water" of the politician who hired them, even indirectly. And they got it.

Sgt. Barry will take a MAJOR HIT on this case, for no other reason than the perp was a black female, and Barry is a white, Irish, cop.

Just the way the Socialists want it: a demoralized police force, unwilling to effect arrests, enforce laws, or carry out their usually assigned enforcement duties (except the profitable summonses).
And if they do, it'll be Murder 2

It's clear that deBlasio, despite his questionable background, will be re-elected HANDILY. But what Jimmy the Weasel hasn't accepted yet is the fact that he's just a "useful idiot" for deBlasio and his Socialists co-conspirators. The next PC will be one of their own, much like how the Democrat National Committee put a radical Leftist Muslim as the unelected VP in office, with a blithering idiot Hispanic president running interference for the Muslim, while the Muslim works his "back-channels" on the local level.

These are bad times. But they will be exceptionally bad in the NY-Metropolitan area, for sure.

If he isn't convicted, and there is no way he will be, there's no fuuuuckin' way they can justify firing him.  Never, ever.  If they fire him the job will come to a screeching halt because it will be the incident that opens the eyes of every MOS of every rank to the current bullshyte that is goinfg on in the job.   If they fire him we need to storm the castle!....(puzzle palace)

Dont kill the messenger but it could easily happen.

You can try a cop for any crime in the Trial Room and you only need a preponderance of the evidence .And I am sure they can find that he violated some PG procedure. I am. SURE he will face Dept. Trial for something.

And they can always find something.

Happened to me. DA wasn't interested but I still got 30 and a year. They wouldn't even accept a plea. Had to go to trial. I was advised to fall on the sword to avoid termination.

Sometimes they will go ahead with the Dept Trial and try to fire a guy BEFORE the criminal Trial rather than Pay him during the trial.
They have done that in the past but its rare.

The process for me was worse than the penalty.

I feel for this guy. Hope there is a dog fund me. I believe it would have to be set up by a retiree or civilian.

Well, it was intentional . It has all the elements for Murder2.

BUT, he has the defense of justification.

No there aren't elements because police do not shoot to cause death; we shoot to stop a threat.

The only unity I ever saw was in January 71! Even then I saw scabs!
