Shots on goal 49-15...with only 2 in the last period while playing from behind. Nothing like showing some heart for the home fans. If not for some decent saves could have been a double-digit loss. Way to treat your few remaining home fans to a total bedsh*ting against a .500 team.

Looking forward to seeing the positive spin O'Connor and COOGSUPERAN try to pull out of their arses for this latest lame excuse by a DT creation.

but it shouldn't surprise anyone that you would come here and puke negative despite not even being in attendance. To call a team of this age grouping and experience level an "abomination" only reinforces your already stellar ignorance and negativity level...again...certainly no shock to these readers. If you were there you might have noted that the game was not nearly as one sided as the shot clock indicated. No doubt we were out played (especially in the offensive finish department) but the compete level of this team was right there on both of these nights.

I think next year we will be a much tougher team overall and really be able to take the "legal" physicality (and "illegal" as well) to a much higher level than we have seen in many years...ie: we are going to be tough SOB's to play against.

Was really impressed with Grewal last night. He has "sprouted" dramatically even since camp and looked very comfortable and solid out there. McNulty also more than held his own in the last couple of nights. Of course they will make mistakes...they are not even regular members of this team yet...but all the real WHL experience they gain this year should pay off superior dividends next year when this team should be, has to be, better be...much improved.

It has been, and will continue to be entertaining to the hockey fan that can appreciate very young, over-matched hockey players develop character and attitude right before your very eyes. A player like Mykitiuk, while almost always over-matched physically, continues to battle with reckless abandon and ferociousness that belies his diminutive size. I picture him possibly becoming a very effective player like McColgan or Chikie in the future and am looking forward to him grow figuratively and physically this summer.

No harm no foul with the loss by the way...all the teams we are chasing lost too.

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGS!!!

A couple of comments from a buddy at last nights game ................

1st thing he said, "I shoulda went to a movie"

2nd thing, "the announced crowd of 1857 could have fit in one endzone"

Needless to say he wasn't impressed. This was from a former season ticket holder of many years who ventured into the arena for the 1st time this season. I asked him how the atmosphere was, he only laughed.

living in the past never got anyone anywhere. If it was, as you mentioned, the first time he ventured into the rink this year and he is comparing it to some distant memory of "the good old day" then of course he would be disappointed...what did he expect? Knock down, shake down, scream your lungs out excitement?

The atmosphere is directly related to how you influence it and those in your immediate vicinity...sometimes those as far away as across the rink in some cases. We had a great time on both nights and I guarantee you so did the 50' radius around us. Hockey, as in life, will always be what YOU make of it. That will probably explain a lot in your buddy's case...IN THE CASE.

Last place in the WHL. Probably last in the CHL....again.

Sorry Cougs, all this talk about a major rebuild finally is a bunch of crap. A proper rebuild would find your players spread over 3 birth years so you'd have a mix of 16,17,18 year olds. I see an over abundance of 16 years olds here which is never good. Fast forward 3 years and they will see the dilemma with a whole pile of 19 year olds and the ability to only keep 3 the next year...year 4 is the automatic rebuild again.

Just the idea that we've got all these 16 year olds, again are they franchise building blocks or are they just filling roster spots?

You need to get over the idea that everyone who is pissed off is stupid. You're clearly in the minority here.

You hit the nail on the head Smiley, to much of the same, reminds me of 3 or 4 years ago, when all we heard from the BIG FELLOW, was his singing the praises of Conally(great player), Bouna-alphabet, Hirsche, Gibb, Makin, Fraser, MacDonald etc.,didn't seam to work out to well....better luck this time, but, with more good young guys on the horizon, changes will likely have to be made, to get a little older
