That is a bit of lore cooked up by the sports media that was marching behind SI's Tom Verducci back in the day with their pitchforks and torches."

TW's body was shipped off and "processed" by a single signature from JHW on the day he died.

I've seen the paperwork. How can anyone state JHW did not do it?

Or are you saying just the "evil" part is the myth?

"This book serves no public purpose and obliterates the innermost sanctuary of a family's privacy," the statement (from Claudia Williams) said.

"I believe Larry Johnson violated the confidentiality of my family in the most vile manner possible...The privacy of my family and the resulting horror is of the highest degree and should never have outweighed the public's interest."

Interesting she feels her privacy violated, but not her father's body.

Her fathers body wasn't "violated".

And what makes sense is TW was processed-- incompetently. Not "violated"-- a word used in sex abuse cases. Using words improperly is laughable.

Here is the flimsy paperwork that sent TW to Alcor:

You scanned 2 pages only. The application is longer than that.

I have a copy of the entire DoG.

But what's the point?

Here's an interesting provision in the Alcor Application:

VI: WILLS

Alcor does not require that you have a will in order to become a Member. However, if you already have a will which has provisions contrary to the goals of cryonics (for instance, if your will states you do not want cryonics, or if it requires cremation, burial or other disposition of your human remains after your legal death), these will invalidate your Cryonics Suspension Agreement. If you have a will, it is your responsibility to change it through a new codicil or a new will; otherwise your suspension arrangements will not be valid.

Do you have a will?

___ Yes ___ No

If "yes", does it include any provisions contrary to cryonics?

___ Yes ___ No

All were left blank. TW's Cryonics Suspension Agreement was never valid.

That's not Alcor's fault, but a misrepresentation by JHW.
