I WAS WONDERING IF ANY ONE KNEW WHAT IS THE BEST PRODUCT TO CLEAN THE OUTSIDE AND OR INSIDE OF A MOTORCYCLE MOTOR. I AM GOING TO BE CHANGING THE GASKITS AND MIGHT ALREADY TAKE THE WHOLE THING APART. I MIGHT ALSO CLEAN THE PISTON HEADS IF I CAN BUT DO NOT WANT TO DAMAGE THEM AND OR MAKE THEM UNUSABLE. ALSO I DONT KNOW IF IT HAS A LITTLE RUST BUT IF IT DOES INSIDE OF THE MOTOR WHAT CAN I USE TO CLEAN IT?? ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED THANK YOU IN ADVANCE ?

I use spray carb cleaner and also brake cleaner. wd40 and a brush works good for rust or rust converter if it's bad.

I start with a soak in engine degreaser/foam then brush and hose it off.
Kerosene is also a fantastic metal cleaner, even for pitted chrome and grimy chains
