IMO. Looks like you found it off of the titanic and started to wear it. I cannot see the reason to make a watch look like a rusted piece of junk.

Sorry but I do not see what the obsession is with making a perfectly good watch look like a rusted piece of relic. I have seen some project watchs that tastefully recreate a hommage. This sir, is far from it.

There is vintage and this looks nothing like vintage.

I expect to get flamed but that is my opinion.

Just removed a 6497 Destro project from it's sadly dirty inside case (i am correcting very some sloppy work) and need to take the shine off the dial....& of course your work comes to mind. What could I experiment with to discolor it? Paint? Dull polyurethane spray? Any hints? Also what strap is that?

yes, a matt spray varnish will do the job...the strap was made for me by a friend "ATOMIC"....and i aged it and beat it up a bit!

i sanded it a bit with 200 grit....not a great idea. I think i need to strip it now, and start over. CRap.
