I'm a little late posting this. My aides didn't help me out of bed the last 3 days. But when I checked my e-mail yesterday, there was the shocking news in an e-mail that I received from Jonelle, that her husband, Phillip Nolan Gerner had past away August 28. Phillip would have been 76 on September 10th

Thank you for the news, Chuck. I am very saddened that our world has lost a very good man and we have lost a very good friend. Rest in peace my friend and know that you have lived a very good life. You will be missed.

So sad to hear this. I never met, Phillip personally, but I really grew to love him through, The Back Forty. Jonelle, hope your doing okay and if there is anything, Cari or I can do for you, we'll be here.
And, Phillip, my friend, you'll always be with me on the trout stream. We've many more fish to catch.

No words can express the loss I feel in missing the passing of this giant of a man in the example that he brought to all of us.  I can't believe that I have lost 5 months.  I am deeply sorry, Jonelle.  He will be dancing as he waits for us on the other side of the River.
I lift up my eyes to the hills. . .He watches over your life. . .now and forever. Psalm 121
