You're right, Phillip. One volume is not enough,

Love it Phillip. Did Jonelle help you write it?

Kenny! is that really you?

I'll tell you ONE thing for certain ... if Phillip Gerner HAD written a book about understanding women, he could have summed it up in 25 words or less. And that would have been 24 words too many.

He knows absolutely nothing.

Chuck knows less than nothing.

PaJack knows a lot about ATV's but I seriously doubt he knows anything about women.

You know the best place to catch big fish, but Kenny, Darlin, you don't know doodly squat what goes on in your Cari's pretty head.

So all you rats may as well sit down and be quiet. You're not impressing anybody about anything. Just hush.

Powerful? POWERFUL?

I'm glad you were impressed.

Phillip Gerner didn't exactly shake in his boots when I read those words to him.

His exact response ... bored voice ... was something like "what's for supper, darlin?"

And I ... typical Edith Bunker fashion ... grabbed my apron and headed straight for the kitchen.

I'll try my power act another day. Maybe better results.

I hate to get behind with my self-appointed duties of fighting and standing up for all womanhood on the Back Forty, because when the messages are as senseless as ours, it's too easy to lose my place and get confused.

But ...

Phillip and I have had a mess of kids (grown up kids) and grandchildren (also the grown up variety) invading our territory all weekend long. And while we love the worrisome little things and love love LOVE to see them coming in our front door, we also feel relieved to wave goodbye as the tail lights on their cars disappear down the road. (sigh)

And it takes me'n Phillip FOUR FULL DAYS to recover from all our enjoyment of these people.

Plus ... they tend to spoil Phillip when they're here and he's difficult enough to manage without anyone deliberately making him worse.

This trip, Honey Gail brought homemade banana nut bread from her home in Little Rock, and then got him a huge serving of shrimp alfredo from the Olive Garden restaurant here in Nashville.

Now! how in the world can I get him to stay interested in plain ole meat and potatoes after that kind of treatment? See? It's a conspiracy designed to make my life harder.

But ...

Those same annoying precious kids also installed a larger computer monitor for me while they were here. Only ... get this: They bought a TV instead of a computer screen and it's wider and higher and it works just like the computer. Only I can see words and pictures a whole lot better now. AND ... Phillip can see my computer better from his hospital bed. It's a REAL improvement.

This nice peaceful message is not meant to imply that I'm finished with our current fight. I will be back on duty, plenty ready to deal with you just as soon as I get my household ... AND my husband ... back under control after the wreckage our swarm of kids left behind.

Ya'll wait right there.

I'm rollin' up my sleeves.

Leep, it'll take more than a thumbs up and a smiley face for you to get on the good side of me right now. I'm wanting to know if you treated Dorothy like a queen on her birthday. I'm waiting to hear that she sat in her easy chair all day and watched while you vacuumed and dusted and folded laundry. Did that happen?

uh huh. I thought not.

Tell me you at least brought her flowers.

Did you? You DIDN'T??? Leep! You're every bit as bad as Phillip Gerner and he's worse than Chuck.

I'm starting to get some of my vision back from my nasty stretch of being sick. I'm very relieved to see you still arguing back and forth  I missed you all!

I just got my last anti biotic infusion yesterday and they stopped them because I had an allergic reaction to them..But it seems the liver infection is gone...I was in the hospital for 7 days, missed Christmas and new years..Had my Pik tube taken out yesterday and my last CT Scan says I have a clean bill of health..

But, I have been doing dishes, washing clothes, changing the beds and towels..Going grocery shopping....And treating my wife like she is the only woman in the world.. :D

It was hard doing all this with a drain tube hanging down to my knees and that dang pic tube sticking out of my upper arm..They still don't know how I got this infection, but they called it diverticulitis. Seems everyone has this bacteria in their colon, but somehow mine got out and into my bloodstream and they had to drain a couple golf ball sized infections from my liver..First time I've ever been really sick. :dunno: :dunno:
Through all this "Pick"(Dorothy) has been a rock and I will spend the rest of my life showing her how much I love and appreciate her..

(Aw, what a guy... :D :D :hide )

But I know the rest of the men here love and treat their ladies as well as I do..

Especially Phillip and Chuck.... :D :D   :Congrats: :hide

You were going great there for a while, Leep. Won me over completely.

Until ... you threw in those last two lines.

THAT ruined it!

Take good care of yourself, Leep, and keep us informed about your health.

A ton of love is being sent to you and Dorothy today, all the way from Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
