This may be risky but things have been a little slow around here lately. Our Michigan spring has seemed more like winter than winter. It seemed that the white stuff would never end, up here. That is how the election season also seems to me.

The republicans seem intent on destroying each other before the nominee ever gets to play in the big sandbox with Mrs. Bill. Are they really intent on having more of the same in the WH? Do they really want someone that should be wearing orange to be sworn in to take us further into the pit? I certainly may be wrong but this primary season seems to be leading up to a couple of real circuses this summer. If so, this primary stuff could be one huge waste of time and money which it most likely is any way. Do either of these parties really care what you or I think?

For me, it is very nauseating when any of these millionaires state that they can identify with ordinary every day Americans. Please, many of us are not that gullible. But then some of us just seem to want the freebies that are thrown out to get a vote and a round of applause. Unfortunately then the rest of us pay for that naivete.

None of these candidate gems seem to want to stop sending money to bribe all of our enemies and some of our false faced friends so that it can go back to Social Security from which it was stolen. Our veterans could actually get the care that was promised to them. Seniors could actually get the benefits that they worked so hard to earn. Medicare could actually provide medical care. This sounds so simple but that may be why the politicians can't figure it out. The campaign speeches and the debates all seem to be adding to planet warming with their hot air.

My post seems to be like this election season. It just goes on and on in one big rant with perhaps little point to it. What are your thoughts? Do you still have some after reading this hodgepodge of thoughts of mine?

Perhaps that is why baseball is America's number one sport (okay after Nascar, Chuck, and all of the race aficionados). It gets us beyond the primary season and no one really cares who wins or loses as long as there is plenty of popcorn, hot dogs, and beer. :Congrats:

No risk from my corner of Wisconsin, Dennis. I appreciate your efforts to livened things up. I'm still too distracted to contribute much, but hopefully that is nearing an end.

Yeah, it looks like we don't have much of a choice this go around. But then again, what else is new. The one thing I'm sure of is,...... I cant stomach, HILLERY. :Hot 38 At least, Trump, says he'll stand behind us gun owners and protect, The Second Amendment. He also promises to help veterans get back a lot of programs, O'Bozo, took away. But then again, don't they all promise the world while running for office? :dunno: :shame on you

I like him.

The Dow likes him.

The NRA likes him.

The 2nd amendment is protected

The 4 Supreme Court members can now retire safely knowing the Court
will stay in conservative hands

The Mexico President doesn't like him

The left leaning ABC, CBS and NBC don't like him

The far Left Hollywood type should be buying plane tickets about now
to fulfill their threat to leave

That all means his 1st 6 days are off to a great start.

I wake up every day and you should too, with new found excitement

It sure is nice having a President again!

He supports and appreciates our military; and they are thankful to have a real leader again!

According to the numbers guys the debt has been going down since January 20th. Jobs are coming back to the USA. Illegal visitors who jumped the line are being shown the door.

Perhaps best of all, our enemies and allies know there is a new sheriff in town. Our friends know that we are again standing up with them and our enemies know that the apologizing is over. The fun and games are over for the bad guys and THE MAN is cleaning the swamp.

He Lowered the corporate tax from 35 to 15%.

He is doing one thing that has not been done in a while and that is keeping his election promises.  That is not easy given the obstinate Congress that is in office, GOP or not.

The left seems to spend all of their time attacking the President with made up and false news.  They also seem to deny the Constitution and are inclined to rewrite it to fit their agenda.

There is a verse in the Bible, Ridge,  that describes the left
Ecclesiastes 10:2 (KJV)   2 A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a fool's heart at his left.

The left and some of the old timers are throwing everything at the fan that they can think of to make our President look bad.  Fortunately more than a little is flying back on themselves.  I hope that they get caught holding it during this next election.

UNREAL: House Democrats Move to Outlaw Most New Guns in America, Virtually ALL Semi-Automatics
Feb 28, 2018 03:25 am
This is not a joke: semi-automatic firearms would be banned in a new bill introduced by House Democrats and backed by the majority of their party members.

This bill will never pass, but it shows the rebelling kids, that know nothing about guns, that they are on their side and need to be re-elected in the Fall and the Republicans, who will vote it down should be defeated. Politics at it's worst. Somebody should take an AR15 to some world stage, put a bullet in the chamber, put the safety on off and lay the gun on a table. That  same somebody should then talk 'Gun Safety' for an hour. At the end  of the hour, ask how many people did this gun kill? Of course the answer will be zero. Then pick up the gun and point out that a gun by it's self will never kill or even hurt somebody, until a person picks up the gun, points it at another person and pulls the trigger. ( At this point, aim the gun at a small   group of kids and pull the trigger. One kid drops.)

The news regarding guns is in panica state. Corp. sponsors of the NRA are fleeing. Dick's is pulling the AR15's from the shelves.

I heard but the President said that he would veto any bill like that.  I don't believe the crazies have enough votes to over ride a veto.  There are a lot of pro gun districts.  The support of this bill may cost them more votes than they believe.  At the least the NRA will pull out all of the stops come election time.

I see things came to a stop (regarding stores following Dick's) after Dick's and Walmart pulled AR15's and raised the buying age to 21. Kids probably think that's a big win, but Dick's and Walmart are not go to places to buy guns anyway that I am aware of.

What does our NRA friendly President mean when he says "go for the guns first"? The Democrats already want to take my Remington 742 semi-auto away.

I don't know what he means, Chuck, but that statement certainly is not reassuring.  I get the feeling that he is in the mood to make a deal with the left after the Florida tragedy.  If they are taking guns away from the youngsters until they are 21, then they should not have to serve in the military until then.  (I have that same rifle.)  Every sane person knows that taking guns away from good honest citizens will not accomplish anything but tyranny.  Idiot control was the problem in Florida not gun control.
