We have been more fortunate than many in this storm.  I pray that Chuck and Don are okay.  I heard that southwest MI and Wisconsin were hit hard.  We received mostly freezing rain and sleet.  It sounded like the pounding of drums on our roof at times but thankfully we have not lost power as of this time. North of us the state has been overwhelmed with snow and south of us flooding and ice has been bad for many.  The TV said that 30,000 are without power.  The Saginaw River has been running in reverse for a part of the weekend.  I am seriously ready for some 65-70 degree temperatures and sunshine.

We got an inch of snow last night. Prior to last night, we got freezing rain and ice on the power lines. We did not lose power. We have been in our house for 28 years and have never lost power. Most of the damage was by Kalamazoo (50 miles South of us). They had trees and utility poles snapped in two.

I am glad that the bad weather leaves you mostly alone, Chuck.  Losing power is lousy especially if it lasts more than 1 day.  Downed trees often do a lot of damage up here.
