This design is possibly one of the all time best for a casual/semi dress watch.

This is a gentlemen watch if there ever was one

I'm wearing my Lew B. 'Beermatic' today and have the alarm set to 5:00pm; better known as beer o'clock

........... >>> been reading a lot a comparisson posts that include the Casio, Suunto and the Timex WS-4.

Personaly, I think that Timex should have have offered a solar model of their WS-4. And many posts I have read, people who have the watch, were saying the same thing. Now, its true that the WS-4 has a rather large battery (CR2430 3V) that lasts aproximately 15 months - maybe a bit longer if you don`t use too often the various power sucking features such as the compass, alarms, backlight, etc. The battery is a tough one from what I have read: it is rated to work between -30 DeGrees C and + 70 DeGrees C.
But then again, I don`t have a problem replaceing batteries and the WS-4 its even easier since it has a hatch than can be open with a coin.

I don`t wear it everyday but every day (morning) I look at its weather icon on the display. I have noticed since I have it that it predicts the weather prety accuratly for up to 8 hours.

The WS-4 can be a problem for those who don`t like large watches but that`s a compromise - you have a large display that shows you evrything you wanna see without pushing a button. I am not concerned about its ONLY 50 Meter water resistance. I have enough diver watches I can swim with but the WS-4 can take a shower or a bath.

Before I bought it, I had a tough time deciding between the WS-4 and various other Casio ProTrek models. The price was definatly a factor and WS-4 is the cheapest ABC. Also the clarity of the display had a role to play and for me the WS-4 was the watch.

with 2 minutes to spare!

Don't know about you guys but I hate being late for a party

I may just do a 'Challenge for the Strong' and wear/monitor this Beermatic for a full month to see how well it runs

.............. >>>> that`s RIDICULOSLY over priced! I paid $148.00 for mine,, including shipping from States. And that was last year ....

A quick check on EBay tells me that the prices have dropped by $20 from what I paid. And they also have the newer "Camo" model...
